Trace the 4x5" rectangular opening on the gutter bottom, positioned above the downspout location. Allow 1" clearance from gutter end caps.

Use tin snips or a jigsaw with a metal blade to cut the opening. Deburr all cut edges with a file to prevent sealant damage.

Apply gutter sealant around the opening. Insert the outlet from below, pressing the B-flange flat against the gutter bottom. Rivet or screw the flange in place.
